How To Get High Quality, 100% Unique Content At $0.2/Article Or Less

First off, let me say this “trick” may be considered slightly greyhat. I’m providing you with the knowledge, you decide whether you want to use it or not. 
One of the biggest problems starting out (or even scaling up) online is getting unique content. You need a constant stream of fresh, unique content for your websites, and unique content can be expensive!
As an example, one unique article per day for a website at $5 an article costs you $150 a month. Ten websites? You’re paying $1,500 a month just for content, and that’s not even including costs for things like building links, design and so on. I have personally used this method to get over 500 unique high quality articles for myself and still use it for various websites that need a boost… so I can promise that it works through experience (although you should test it yourself, of course ).
Most of you will have heard of the “translate trick” online. This is a method promoted by loads as being a way to get a stream of unique content… without having to work hard for it.
Unfortunately, the general suggested way for this trick is to take an article in English and then translate to German, then from German to French, then French to Italian, and from Italian back to English. What’s promised is a relatively flawless article… what’s actually the case is a jumbled mismatch of words that don’t make sense when put together.
This translate trick I learned about in mid-2008, but quickly found while testing that tweaking it a bit was a lot more sensible… I’m sure other people are using it but for now it remains pretty unknown.
The easiest way to get articles is to translate from a foreign language back.
So German ==> English.
Or Italian ==> English.
Or French ==> English.
You get the idea.
There are millions of “foreign” web pages out there which you can find.
Now the first way to do this, is to translate your keyword into the foreign equivalent, and then use Google to go hunting.
Use Google Translate for your translations (tends to be the most reliable).
So for example, translating exercise from English to French returns exercice.
You’d then plug this into Google France and look for articles.
Plugging in exercice into Google France returns over 18,500,000 pages with the term.
You’d go to different pages, find articles and translate them back into English using Google Translate.
Now, the easier way I found…
Either you Google the translated version of “article directory” in whatever language you find, or you simply Google “language article directory” in English.
For example, a quick Google search for “German article directory” brings up a Digital Point thread with 200+ German article directories, ranked by Pagerank.
Let’s take a look at one of them… I’m not going to attempt to name it here cos it’s too long but you can check it out at this link.
That’s an example of a German article directory. They even have a list of categories on the left, some of which are pretty similar to English.
You’d go to that article directory (which has thousands of articles), go to the topic you were interested in (for example, Energie), take an article and plug it into Google Translate.
100%, high quality unique content.
Most people aren’t doing this, so any article you grab will be completely unique.
Rinse, repeat for hundreds of niches and thousands of articles. You know it makes sense.
Now… the translated version will not be 100% accurate. I’ve found in other languages, a “the” tends to get added to nouns (as an example) while some other things will be slightly different.
What I’ve done in the past is pay a freelancer $10/hour to fix up the basic mistakes in each article. Now as each article has maybe 3-4 things wrong with it, the freelancer could (literally) fix up 50+ articles per hour. So cost? Around $0.2/article for high quality, unique flawless articles.
I used to give them articles of 50-100 at a time and let them work their magic. Using something like oDesk now, you can even find people at around $5/hour (and see how productive they are using oDesk). You could even train people to find the articles for you and this could be done completely without you doing any work.
Note that with this method you will probably not be able to find long tail keyword articles… but generic ones on big topics (for example, how to lose weight now) there will be hundreds if not thousands available.
And you’ve got a tonne of languages… Spanish, French, German, Italian… I prefer to use European languages but you’ve also got the likes of Japanese. Just stay away from languages like Hindi.
To use on your niche websites or for backlinks, these articles are fine. In fact the articles will generally be accepted by Ezine Articles after your freelancer is done editing them, which means you can send in loads of them and build hundreds of high power backlinks.
If you’re reasonably decent in another language, and want to tweak this more for more backlinks… another twist on this method is to use articles from English article directories and submit them to foreign ones for high power backlinks.
Again, submit to all the directories you found when you first started… hundreds of high power backlinks.

great article dude. the translate trick is well known but your variation is very interesting. And when you get the system up and running you could get a huge number of high quality backlinks so easily and cheaply.

A tried and true method I’ve been using for a long time. An interesting observation around this is that even large corporate websites can be used since many larger sites like IBM, Adobe etc don’t translate content, it is all written in the native language. So….

I don’t really see this as greyhat. Yes you’re taking content, but by the end of the process, it’s been largely rewritten, something that’s been going on forever. The only difference with this method is that the person who wrote the content originally really won’t care, because the content that’s produced with this method won’t really be particularly enjoyable to read.
If you want cheap, crappy, content, then this method is fine. But no one is actually going to “read” that content, and no one is going to be drawn to your website using that content.
No worries though guys, let’s all just keep polluting the internet with crappy content/spam

I can say two things – that this technique brings you articles that are a lot better than the standard spun (most of which is rubbish) content, and after edited by a freelancer they’re just as good if not better than 90% of the articles currently on directories like EzineA.
Whether that’s a standard you’re happy with… is entirely up to you.
I can’t believe I’ve been waiting all these months since “Automated Niche Blogs” for nuggets like this. Stuff I can just go away and start doing right now.
